一.说教材
这一课是新目标英语七年级上册最后一个单元Unit9 My favorite subject is science的第一课时。这一课时主要是谈论自己对事物的喜好及其原因的表述。重点是对科目方面的词汇进行教学,进而掌握句型--What’s your favorite subject?--My favorite subject is math.--why do you like math.--Because it is interesting.让学生通过听,说,读,写反复掌握这一课时的重点内容。
二.说学生
经过一学期对英语的接触,学生对英语有了一定的了解,对英语词汇、句型
等都有了一定的积累。但大多数学生基础薄弱,理解力较差,接受能力弱。对教学有很大的困难。
三.教学目标
1.知识目标
(1)Grasping the key words about subject and some adjectives,such as science ,history,math,interesting,boring…
(2)Using the following sentences to talk about preferences and give the reasons. --What’s your favorite subject? --My favorite subject is math. --why do you like math. --Because it is interesting.(3)Learn some listening skills 2.过程与方法

Students can use the target languages to talk about their preferences and express the reasons in their lives.

1.Students finish activity 1a by themselves.then ask two students to share their answers and check the answer.
2.Students read the words in 1a together.
3.Teacher asks some students with following sentences and helps students answer--what’s your favorite subject?

Listen and circle the subjects you hear in 1a
Play the radio just once and ask students to share their answers, then play the radio the second time,at the same time,check the answers.(remind students to catch the key words)

Talk about your favorite subject with your partner--What’s your favorite subject?--My favorite subject is…
