The strategies of all the stages in international business
negotiation
There are various strategies which can be implemented of different stage in international business negotiation.
The first stage is opening stage. In this stage, preparation should be set up to familiar with the situation of negotiation. The negotiator should adjust their state to make sure they are ready for this negotiation and needs to decide what is important in this negotiation. So they should define the goals, and think ahead how to work together with other party. Furthermore, the negotiator should pay attention to the relationship building. It is extremely crucial for every parties to know each other and understanding the differences between different parts. This aspect also can be beneficial to achieve a mutually commitment and finally reach a win-win outcomes.
Also, in a more detailed way, the negotiator should figure out whether adapt distributive or integrative strategy. Generally, single-issue negotiations tend to dictate distributive negotiations because the only real negotiation issue is the price or “distribution” of that issue, while multiple-issue negotiations are more suitable for integrative negotiations because parties can use processes such as logrolling to create issue “packages” that are mutually beneficial ().
Moreover, negotiator needs to collect all the useful information as more as possible such as the interest among every parties and the resistance points, and
put them together. Defining alternatives and assessing constituents and the social context in which the negotiation will occur is also imperative. Then taking all these factors into consideration and make a clearly idea about the possible settlements and how to give a price to reach an agreement which can satisfy both sides.

Experience and feelings of the presentation
In the aspect of presentation, I gained a lot of useful information about the negotiation and also have a grasp of some strategies and tips in presentation. Our presentation is about the quality that International Business Negotiators should own. I suppose that our presentation is successful because there is a clear illustration in the layout. Every qualities and important context has been listed one by one, which make audience can grasp the important point quickly. In this aspect, I also learned how to illustrate a presentation more clearly such as highlighting the key words in presentation and keeping eye-contact with students and teacher. The former one can make people easier to understand what I say and the later can lead to an invisible communications between me and audience.
Also, in the process of collecting information, I also learn a lot of knowledge
about do or don’t in the stage of negotiation and have a better understanding about the quality which is very essential in negotiations. And some tips also have been given to me which I have not paid much attention to.
Overall, I am quite satisfied about our presentation. Not only we collect and illustrate all the crucial qualities and rules in the process of negotiation to audience, but also I gain a lot of knowledge and tips which can bring various benefits in the future. But I feel there are also some improvement can be suggested in this presentation, I suppose that many interactions can be indicated with audience to make the whole presentation more vivid. Moreover, some examples can be given to explain the importance of some qualities. This can make audience more acceptable and receive our message quicker.
There were also many benefits I received when I listened to others’ presentations. I have a deeper understanding about the cultural differences between countries, cultures and regions. These differences causes some divergences and maybe misunderstanding in the process of negotiations. So I assume that a comprehensive collection about the cultural differences in negotiations can prevent us from these mistakes when negotiating, which is a very advantageous benefits for me.
