My Mom
In my memory, from the day I went to school, I have never written a formal narrative or essay to describe my mother-the person I love most in my life. So this is the reason I pick up my pen to make a difference.
As I was born in DeYang, SiChuan province, my mother was a typical woman in southern China. Like other mid-aged women in my village, she may look a little bit short. As time flows by, wrinkles start to appear on her face and some of her hair start to turn white. She doesn’t have many clothe and always simply dressed. The only jewellery was a pair of earrings that was bought about ten years ago. Her appearance was no longer young, but to me she is the most beautiful women in the world.
As a normal country woman, she is diligent and tough. She get up early to make our breakfast and clean the house. This is why every time I get up in the morning I will have a rich breakfast instead of still being hungry. It’s easy to do this for a day, but it turn so hard to do this for decades without a break. In spring and autumn, she will go out to do farm work after finishing the house work. Because my father is a teacher, so mom have to do almost all the work-sowing seeds, spreading the fertilizer, irrigating the land, reaping the crops. When there is not much farm work, she will pack up cigar in a workshop to make some money. Therefore, there is seldom a day for her to have a rest. But I never hear her
complain about that. She never travels to another province, she didn’t know much about the modern technology, she even can’t use the mobile to text me. However she is still the person I admire and love most.
I think everybody may have this experience like me. When I was a teenager, I feel she was a little bit nagging and annoying and almost ignore her love to me. Sometimes I would go crazy and quarrel with her. But after I went college, I have gradually understood those nag was a mother’s good wish for her son and found her love me so much. There are things deeply in my head which move me so much. I still remember the dry beeves she didn’t eat and conserved them in the fridge so that I can eat when I come home in holidays. I still remember the time when she stood in the field to reap the tobacco with sweat on her forehead. I still remember the warmth of the sweater she weaved for me.
Now after years’ hard work, her lumbar verterbra always aches. And for genetic reasons, she has a hypertension. So I wish her will get better and I will work hard to make her have a better life.
