一、阅读理解
Since the age of three, Chelsie Hill had dreamed of becoming a dancer. She won her first competition at five and kept dancing through her school years. She made the high school dance team and everything seemed to work for the dream as a dancer.
However, that ambition nearly ended one night in 2010. Hill, then a 17-year-old high school senior in Pacific Grove, California, was in a car accident that put her in the hospital for 51 days and that left her paralyzed(瘫痪的) from the waist(腰) down. For most people, that would have made them give up any hope of a dancing career. For Hill, it was just the beginning. Far from being an obstacle(障碍), her wheelchair cheered her. \"I want to prove to my community — and to myself — that I am still ‘normal',\" she told Teen Vogue, \"whatever normal means.\"
Normal for her meant dancing, so Hill did it in her wheelchair right alongside her non-disabled high school dance team. \"Half of my body was taken away from me, and I have to move it with my hands,\" Hill told Today. \"It certainly took a lot of learning and patience.\"
After graduation, Hill wanted to make her dance network bigger. She met many women like her online, shared her ideas with them and invited them to dance with her. \"It was such an amazing experience,\" she said.
Hoping to meet more people in a larger city, Hill moved to Los Angeles in 2014 and formed a team of dancers with disabilities. In the dancing competitions between the disabled around the country, the team has brought a big surprise to many people. \"I want to break down the
stereotype(刻板印象)of wheelchair users and show that dance is dance, whether you're walking or you're rolling,\" she told CBS News.

Fairland Junior High School is called \"Go Green School\". Both the students and teachers there have done many things to protect the environment.
Growing vegetables
Fairland Junior High School students have started their own vegetable garden. Both children and teachers plant and water the seeds. Then they pick the vegetables and use them in school meals. Now they can all enjoy healthy food at lunchtime. \"School dinners are tastier than ever before!\" says one student.
Recycling
The Fairland students don't just bring their books to school — they bring their used things too! There are recycling bins in the playground for cans, bottles, batteries (电池) and paper. They collect used things and sell them. Teachers give a prize every month to the student who tries the hardest to recycle.
Planting trees
\"Our school was one of the least beautiful areas of the city because there were no green areas,\" says the head teacher Lynne Johnson. \"Now every child plants their own tree. He or she looks after it during the week. They make the view from the classroom more beautiful!\"
Finding cleaner ways to get around
Everyone walks or cycles to Fairland School! \"When the roads are busy, it's faster to ride a bike than travel by car anyway,\" says one student. Even the teachers don't use their cars. \"We won't encourage our students to protect the environment if we don't do it ourselves!\" says one teacher. They are doing much to save energy.

The environmental problem is becoming more and more serious. It is our duty to protect our environment.
There are many reasons for the environmental problem. Some factories pollute the air and water. There are too many cars in the cities. They pollute the air, too. People don't save things. They waste paper and water the most.
In order to protect our environment, our country should close the factories which pollute the air or water. Our city should have more buses and bus lines. People can take buses instead of
driving cars. We should not waste things. Turning off the taps after using them and using both sides of paper can be helpful.
In a word, something must be done to protect our environment. We only have one earth!
