Chinese new year

I like the Chinese new year better than any other festival. This is a time especially for rest and joy. I need not study. I wear good clothes and eat good food. I have a good time from morning till night. I am as happy as a king.

A Happy Day

Last Sunday, I visited my grandmother. We listened to music and planted flowers. I counted the flowers. There were ten. Then I helped my grandmother cook lunch. When we finished, I washed the dishes and she cleaned the kitchen. In the evening, I watched TV and played the violin at home, It was fun.

My Cat

I have a cat named Mimi. Its hair is as white as snow. I often play games with it. It amuses me a lot and I treat it as a little friend. Every morning, I would say goodbye to it before I go to school and Mimi would wave its front-leg to me. It brings me a lot of pleasure. But it takes time and costs money to keep the cat. My parents and I spend much time taking care of it, feeding it and cleaning it. We have to clean the house from time to time, or the cat will make them dirty and smelly.

Buying a hat

A lady went to a hat shop to buy a hat. As she was very fussy, it took her a long time to pick on one. Already at the end of his patience the salesman was afraid that she might change her mind again so he tried to flatter her: \"An excellent choice, madam. You look at least ten years younger with this hat on!\" To his dismay, the lady took off her hat at once and said: \"I don't want a hat that makes me look ten years older as soon as I take it off. Show me some more hats!\"

My Friend's Birthday

Today is Monday. It is also my friend's birthday. I sent a beautiful gift to him. He is very happy!We played games at his home. We danced,sang and so on. His mother bought a big birthday cake. It is very delicious! I like it very much! This day I'm very happy!

Football

Many people like football. Football is one of the most interesting sports. Young people and old people both like it very much. It is very exciting. Boys like to play football and girls like to watch football matches. I like to watch football matches very much. I often watch football matches on TV every Sunday.

A Bet (打赌)

Two pals are sitting in a pub watching the eleven-'clock news.A reporter comes on about a man threatening to jump from the 20th floor of a downtown building.One friend turns to the other and says,'I'll bet you ten bucks the guy doesn't jump.'

'It's a bet,' agrees his buddy.

A few minutes later, the man on the ledge jumps,so the loser hands his pal a $10 bill.'I can't take your money,'his friend admits.'I saw him jump earlier on the six-o'clock news.'

'Me,too,'says the other buddy.'But I didn't think he'd do it again.

风和太阳(The Wind And The Sun)

One day the wind said to the sun, “Look at that man walking along the road. I can get his cloak off more quickly than you can.”

“We will see about that,” said the sun. “I will let you try first.”

So the wind tried to make the man take off his cloak. He blew and blew, but the man only pulled his cloak more closely around himself.

“I give up,” said the wind at last. “I cannot get his cloak off.” Then the sun tried. He shone as hard as he could. The man soon became hot and took off his cloak.

Seasons in China

Here in China, there are four seasons a year, just like most of the other countries do. They are spring, summer, autumn and winter. The wether in spring here is kind of

pleasing.Flowers open everywhere. The drrizzeling rain in spring well nourish the earth. But it is still a little bit cold in the north China. Summer in Chian is kind of hot and sometimes breathless. It rains a lot in the south China. But it is a right time for the crop's growing. Autumn in China is a wonderful season. It is the crown of the year.You can feel the sky is blue and high. And it is a good time for travaling. Winter is the season of rest,and the festival of spring. In the north China, it snows a lot. However, it is not so cold in the south China.

My favourite season

My favourite season is winter. Because that is a white world! It is very beautiful! Like a fairy tale world. In winter, I can play with snow、I can make a snowman and skate. I feel very happy!

My school days

Hello, everybody, my name is Li Lei. I'm 12 years old. I study in a primary school. I'm in Class 1 Grade 6. I go to school at 7 o'clock every morning. We read English everyday. There are three lessons in the morning. We have lunch at 11 o'clock. After lunch, we have a rest. The lessons in the afternoon are much more interesting. There are Art lesson, computer studies, Music lesson and Science lesson. We leave school at four.

I love my school

Everybody, let me show you around my school. My school is not big, but it's very beautiful. There is a broad road in the center of the school. In the two sides of the road, there are many green trees and beautiful flowers. In the left side of the road, there are two teaching buildings and a meeting Hall. Teachers often get together every Monday afternoon. There are about 24 classrooms in our school, included two computer rooms and an Art room. We like computer studies very much. We can surf the Internet and play computer games, and sometimes we write emails to each other. In front of the teaching building, there is a river. We can see big ships on it, and it always makes noise. Around the rive, there are some flowers and trees. In spring, we can see many butterflies and other insects. We watch they dance in the flowers. They dance so beautifully. In summer, we can catch grasshoppers between the grass. We have great fun there. In the right side of the road ,there is a library and a big playground. There are many kinds of books in the library. After lunch, we often go to the library to find some interesting books. We often read books

about animals and interesting stories. We can learn a lot from the books. We do morning exercise everyday, and we like doing exercise. In the free time, we often play football and basketball. Last month, we had a sports meeting, we were all very excided, especially when we saw the teacher's running race.

Now, Everybody, Do you know my school? The life in my school is rich and interesting. The teachers are kindly; the students are lovely and friendly. I like studying in my school. I love my school. I think you'll like it, too.

My favorite animal

My favorite animal is tortoise. Tortoise walk not fast. But I like the tortoise. Why? Because, tortoise is a cute animal. It has a short tail and a four short foot. It has a little head and a hard shell. There are forty-five little and cute tortoises in my home. They like to play in the water. When they afraid of some thing. They will run fast. They like to eat fish. I often buy some small fish for them to eat. They can catch the fish fast. First, they fake(假) sleep. When the fish swim near their mouth. They catch the fish fast and bit the fish's head. So, the fish die. They can eat the fish. In winter. They like to sleep in the sand. When they sleep, they don’t eat any food. Because they will hibernation. But, when they are thirsty. They come out of the sand. So, we must give water them to drink.

I love the tortoise. I hate the eagle. Because, the eagle often eat the tortoise with it sharp mouth. My favorite animal is tortoise.

My Favourite Teacher

Heather is my favourite teacher, she is a very lovely woman. She’s twenty-three years old. She teaches us English.

Heather comes from America, but she is in Haimen now. She has two brothers, they are tall. She is tall and slim. She is very pretty. She is usually in a ponytail, but sometimes she wears a hat. She has two big eyes, small nose and two big ears. I can see she with her friends eating meals, playing badminton and going shopping.

Heather has a good friend, her name is Jenny. Jenny’s father was born in China and her mother was born in . They are very good friends.

My weekend

My parents and me live in city. My father is a worker. His work is hard. My mother is a high school's Chinese teacher, She take bicycle go to work at seven'clock. In the afternoon, she doesn't go home. In the evening, she make supper. The food is delicious. I am a student. I have Chinese, math and English everyday. That is boring. I have many friends. After class, I play with my friends.

We are tried, but we are very happy. I love my family.

My Classroom

My family

My father is doctor. He works in Yueqing. He goes to work on foot everyday. My father is not very tall, but he is strong, he is very kind to his patients and he loves his work. My mother is teacher. She works in a middle school . She goes to work by car. She is a very good teacher in my eyes. I am a student i. My school is very beautiful. There are many tall buildings, green tress, nice flowers in our school. We have wonderful teachers too. I like studying in my school.

My grandparents don’t go to work any more. They have retired. They stay at home everyday. In the morning they go to the park and do morning exercises. In the afternoon, they drink tea with their friends. In the evening, they enjoy themselves watching TV and reading newspapers.

We have a happy family. I can’t say how much I love it!

My classmate

Li Hua is my classmate and she also one of my best friends. She is slim and beautiful with a pair of glasses. She is friendly and generous. She is good at English and I am good at maths so we often help each other. Her interests similar to mine, she likes traveling, reading and playing table tennis. She is the most knowledgeable person I have ever known. No matter what you ask, she can always find a perfect answer in her brilliant brain. We often play table tennis on weekend and sometimes we go to movies on Sundays.

My Favourite fruit

I eat many kinds of fruits. They are pears, watermelons, apples, bananas, grapes, strawberries and so on. But I like grapes best. There are green grapes, red grapes and purple grapes. They all look beautiful. Grapes taste very nice . They are sweet and a little sour, They are good for our health . So grapes are my favourite fruit.

My Favorite Food

Tea egg, my best friend for breakfast, possesses the fragrance of tea mixed with the flavor of yolk and white. The fragrance of tea in the morning makes me feel emerged in the imaginary woods. Every time when I smell its flavor, I feel as if I am taking a stroll in the forest. The attractive flavor of yolk and white appears to let me experience the source of life deeply. Eating tea eggs with such characteristics as both natural plants and animals gives me the messages, “Here comes a totally new day!”. A charming tea egg for my breakfast along with a cup of tea awaken me like a nearby alarm clock, and as well open the door to

My Day

Today is Monday. I get up at 6:00. I have my breakfast at about 6:30.Then I clean my room, wash my face and brush my teeth. I have noodles for breakfast. I go to school at 7:00. I do morning exercises at 7:50.We have four classes in morning. At 11:30, I’m very hungry. I have lunch at school. I go to bed at 12:00 in the noon. We have three classes in the afternoon. I have computer class and art classes. I like them very much. I go home at 5:30. I do homework after school. My sister、brother and I watch TV at 8:00 in the evening. Then I wash my face and brush my teeth. I go to bed at 10:00.

My pen pal comes from China.She is 13 years old. She can speak chinese and a little English. The Old Cat

My mother

Hello! I am a lovely girl .I have a good mother. . Let me talk about my mother. My mother is a housewife. She is 38 years old. She has long black hair and brown eyes. She is 159 centimeters tall.

My mother often teaches me how to get along with my study .and encourages me to study hard. She takes good care of me and she never lets me do any housework, so that I can spend more time on study.

My mother is very friendly and always ready to help others, but she is very strict with me. Every night She asks me what I have learnt during the day, and helps me with my homework. She looks like a teacher. Although she is a housewife, but she is very busy every day. Let’s see her daily life.

My mother often gets up at 7 o’clock. and goes to supermarket at 8 o’clock. She cooks lunch at 11:30 and dinner at 6:30.Sometimes she reads some magazines and newspaper. She does some housework in the afternoon. In the evening, after teaching me with my study, she often watches TV, then goes to the bed.

My mother is an ordinary, hardworking woman, but I’m proud of her.
