　　We often hear people say, “Never give up.” This can be encouraging words and words of determination. A person whobelieves in them will keep trying to reach his goal no matter how many times he fails. In my opinion, the quality ofdetermination to succeed is an important one to have. Therefore, I believe that we should never give up.

　　One reason is that if we give up too easily, we will rarely achieve anything. It is not unusual for us to fail in our first

attempt at something new, so we should not feel discouraged and should try again. Besides, if we always give up when wefail, we will not be able to develop new skills and grow as people. Another reason we should never give up is that we canlearn from our mistakes only if we make a new effort. If we do not try again, the lesson we have learned is wasted. Finally, weshould never give up because as we work to reach our goals, we develop confidence, and this confidence can help ussucceed in other areas of our lives.

　　Probably the greatest example of persistence is Abraham Lincoln. Born into poverty, Lincoln was faced with defeatthroughout his life. He lost eight elections, twice failed in business and suffered a nervous breakdown.

　　He could have quit many times - but he didn't and because he didn't quit, he became one of the greatest presidents inthe history of our country.

　　Lincoln was a champion and he never gave up.

　　In short, it is important that we don’t give up when working for our goals. Whether we succeed in the end or not, we willlearn something, and what we learn will help us to become better, more confident people. Furthermore, if we give up, wehave no chance of attaining our goals, but if we keep trying, there is always a chance that we will succeed one day.Thankyou very much!

⼤概持续性的的例⼦就是林肯。出⽣在贫困家庭，林肯⾯临着他⼀⽣的失败。他输⼋⼤选，两次经商失败，并遭受了神经衰弱。

他可以放弃很多次 - 但他并没有因为他没有放弃，他成为我国历最伟⼤的总统之⼀。林肯是⼀个冠军，他从来没有放弃过。

总之，这是我们努⼒追求⽬标时，不放弃是很重要的。⽆论我们最终还是没有成功，我们都会学到⼀些东西，⽽我们学什么会帮助我们变得更好，更有⾃信的⼈。此外，如果我们放弃，我们没有机会实现我们的⽬标，但如果我们继续努⼒，总有⼀个机会，我们会有成功的.⾮常感谢！
