In addition, asingle phase induction motor including a stator composed of a core, a main winding andan auxiliary winding, and a rotor rotated by a mutual electromagnetic force by the statorcomprises a capacitor connected in series to the auxiliary winding, and a resistancevariable element connected in parallel to some portion of the auxiliary winding and thecapacitor.
