一、形容词和副词比较级、最高级的变化 1. 单音节词和少数双音节词 构成 原级 比较级 great greater 一般加-er, -est clever cleverer 以不发音e结尾只加-r, -st 以一个辅音字母结尾的重读闭音节，双写这一辅音字母后再加-er, -est 以一个辅音字母 + y结尾的词，将y改为i再加-er, -est 其他双音节词和多音节词，在词前加-more, -(the) most nice big happy heavy different nicer bigger happier heavier more different 最高级 greatest cleverest nicest biggest happiest heaviest the most different -ing结尾的和-ed 结尾的形interesting more interesting the most interesting 容词一般在其前加-more, excited more excited the most excited -most 2. 不规则变化： 原级 比较级 最高级 good, well better best bad, ill worse worst little less least few fewer fewest much, many more most farther(指距离上更远的) farthest(指距离上最远的) far further(指程度上更深入的) furthest(指程度上最深入的) older（指年龄上较老的，较旧的） oldest（指年龄上最老的，最旧的） old elder(指血缘上的长辈的) eldest(指血缘上最年长的) 二、形容词和副词比较级，最高级的用法

1.两者作比较用比较级：常用“A + be + 形容词比较级 + than + B”的结构。 如：You look much younger than I do. (你看上去比我年轻多了。) Lily is more beautiful than Lucy. （Lily比Lucy更漂亮。）

2.同级比较：“A + be + as + 形容词原级 + as + B” “„和„一样„” “A + be not + as（so） + 形容词原级 + as + B” “„和„不一样„”“„不如„” 如：Jim is as tall as his brother. (Jim像他哥哥一样高。)

Lily doesn’t work as (so) hard as Lucy. （Lily学习不如Lucy那样努力。）

6. 三者或三者以上的比较用最高级。形容词最高级前面要加定冠词the,副词最高级前可加the,也可省掉the；一般句子会有of / in 来比较范围。

“主语 + be one of + 形容词最高级 + 名词复数 „„” 表示“在„中最„的其中一个”
