摘要：Apparatus having fuel combustion cylinders for urging the rods of pistonsoperating therein through power strokes, and fluid pressure pistons, also operating incooperating cylinders, which are correspondingly urged during said power strokesthrough movement causing the production of a pressure fluid which is thereafter utilized,on demand, to do work. In the transmission of said movement-producing forces of saidfuel-powered apparatus input to said pressure fluid output, a linkage mechanism isadvantageously utilized to provide a pressure pattern in the pressure fluid which starts atan optimum low value and progressively builds up. This effectively reverses the pressurepattern of the combustion fuel which consists of a rapid-expansion gas having an initialmaximum value and, due to expansion, progressively diminishes in value. In this way, theoperation of the within apparatus is characterized by such a high degree of efficiency thatin place of gasoline it is feasible to use a non-fossil fuel, such as methanol or the like.
