（1）Where does it take place?这件事发生在什么地方？ take place: 发生 (非偶然性的”发生, 举行”)

如：The sports meeting will take place at the end of the month.。 知识辨析→happen:发生(突然性,强调偶然及意外), 碰巧

如:What happened to him on the way to school yesterday?他昨天在上学的路上出什么事了？

(be) awake: adj.醒着的 ,不能用来修饰名词 ----asleep (反义词) 如：孩子们还没有睡着吗? Are the children still awake? （3）No, I was too sleepy. 没有呀, 我太困了。

sleepy: adj. 困倦, 瞌睡; 贪睡的, 懒惰的 (放在be/ feel后面, 名词前面) 如: 这个孩子看起来很困。The baby looks really sleepy. (但没睡着)

知识辨析→sleep: 睡觉 (动词) be asleep: adj. 睡着的, 熟睡 (只能放在be后面表示一种状态)

教学反思:

通过本节课，学生的自主能力得到了明显的提高，但是学生的课堂参与率不够全面，在今后的教学中应该注重学生的全员参与率，以优带差，共同提高，另外，在课堂上应该注重学生的英语技能的训练，让学生的技能得到全面提高。
